About the Training

The PHATalks are back for 2018! In celebration of National Public Health Week, the Colorado Public Health Association, the Colorado School of Public Health and Presenting Sponsor The Colorado Health Foundation are once again sponsoring Public Health Advocacy Talks. This collection of brief, 10-minute talks on a wide variety of public health advocacy topics are sure to introduce you to new ideas, provide you with new insights, and ignite your passion for creating a healthy Colorado.

The PHATalks are NO MORE THAN 8 minutes each with the following objectives in mind:

  1. Expose public health professionals, students and stakeholders to the breadth and depth of public health work.
  2. Educate and equip participants with salient talking points to dialogue and advocate with others on a variety of relevant public health topics.

This year’s PHATalks include mental health, opioid crisis, health equity, affordable housing, immigrants, food systems, public health education AND MORE!

Registration

This event is open to students, public health professionals and public health partners and stakeholders!

Lunch will be provided for registered in person participants.
