Pulse Check: Telling your Public Health Stories
Thursday, November 18, 2021, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM MDT
Category: CPHA Webinar

The dedicated public health workforce works quietly in the background, impacting lives by promoting and protecting people's physical and mental health and the communities where they live, learn, work, and play. But rarely do we hear the rich stories that people behind the scenes have to tell about their public health experiences. Now, more than ever, those public health storytellers are needed. CPHA is listening. We want to hear from the promotoras, social workers, community navigators, program managers, nurses, engineers, environmental health specialists, directors, consultants, therapists, and anyone who works in public health. We invite our members to join us for our November Pulse Check to share your short public health story.

Some prompts that may help you contextualize your short story:

  1.  What was a moment during the past 2 years where you felt renewed in your commitment to public health?
  2. What do you do and how does your work fit into public health?
  3. What is something you wish people knew about public health/your role?
