Allison Neswood from CCLP will provide an overview of the federal public charge policy and how the Trump administration is proposing to change the law in order to curtail legal immigration. She will discuss the impact the proposal is expected to have on the health and well-being of immigrants and their families and communities. She will also provide insight into how advocates and providers can help ensure families receive accurate information.

Allison Neswood, Esq., is Health Care Attorney for the Colorado Center on Law & Policy. Allison advocates for policies that improve access to public benefits and provides policy expertise to advocates and community groups working on social justice issues. She is an expert in public health insurance plans (Medicaid and CHP+), Aid to the Needy Disabled, immigrant access to services, and health equity.
