Delegate

JOIN THE LEADERSHIP TEAM! 

The ELC empowers new or transitioning public health professional's involvement in the CPHA. Delegates engage in CPHA through its 6 main committees in leadership roles to ensure that the new public health professional voice is integrated into all aspects of CPHA. The overall purpose of the Delegate position is to provide a solid exposure to the multi-faceted nature of public health. 

 

National Public Health WeekNATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH WEEK (APRIL)

During the first full week of April each year, APHA brings together communities across the United States to observe National Public Health Week as a time to recognize the contributions of public health and highlight issues that are important to improving our nation's health. Every year, the association develops a national campaign to educate the public, policymakers, and practitioners. 

 

PHiRPUBLIC HEALTH IN THE ROCKIES 

Public Health in the Rockies Conference is to provide an opportunities for education, networking, and skill development of professionals in Colorado and neighboring regions. The Conference is designed to build a more competent public health workforce.

ATTEND EMERGING LEADERS COMMITTEE EVENTS 

The Emerging Leaders Committee provides students and young healthcare professionals with quality education and service-oriented opportunities. Every year, the Emerging Leaders Committee is dedicated to hosting at least one quarterly event to support the Colorado public health community. Attending Emerging Leaders Committee events is a great stepping stone into the public health workforce of Colorado. 

 

Explore Public HealthEXPLORE PUBLIC HEALTH BIENNIAL PROGRAM

Explore Public Health is a program of the Colorado Public Health Association designed for people of color ages 18-25 who are interested in learning more about the field of public health. With the aim of increasing the diversity of public health professionals, Explore Public Health will provide participants the opportunity to learn about a variety of public health topics and network with a diverse group of professionals. 

 

mentor CO. PUBLIC HEALTH MENTORING PROGRAM

CPHMP intends to cultivate a strong future for public health in Colorado by facilitating the mentoring process among public health professionals. Mentoring is a developmental relationship in which one person nurtures the professional development of another. 

 

mentorRISE: THE EMERGING LEADERS MAGAZINE

 The Emerging Leaders Committee is excited to announce that we are launching RISE, an annual magazine for showcasing and educating Emerging Leaders and other public health professionals. The magazine is a mix a academic articles, storytelling opportunities, and artwork created by CPHA members. The first edition of RISE was published on May 1st, 2022. 

 


 The Emerging Leaders Committee has multiple statements which identify our core values to best serve the Colorado public health community at-large.
