Webinar Overview:

The purpose of this webinar is to illuminate how COVID-19 is impacting our community in inequitable ways and to explore what policies, structures, and systems have left so many Americans unprotected.  Guests from diverse sectors will share how COVID-19 has impacted their community and work area.  Participants will also engage in small group breakouts to reflect on experiences, discuss inequities, and brainstorm ways to prevent future disasters.

Presenters:

• Robert Franklin leads diversity, equity and inclusion programs and initiatives for Children's Hospital Colorado.  The community facing work of both his passion and position led him to volunteer as the Senior Director of CPHA's Health Equity Coalition.
• nami thompson consults in multi-stakeholder, multi-sector dialogue around health equity, public policy, civic engagement, and land management.
• Brian M. Polovoy has been in the mental health field for 17 years working with a varied population from early childhood intervention through geriatrics.
• Marissa Silverberg is currently serving as the COVID-19 Lead Community Resource Coordinator at Jefferson County Public Health.
